What The Brand Needed

 

As the global digital agency for Microsoft’s Windows and Devices Group (WDG), Clockwork Media provides an always-available, market-focused point of contact for Microsoft’s market partners on campaigns across Xbox.com, Windows.com and Surface.com. Our main objective is to optimise the impact of WDG campaigns, sites and web presence across 44 international markets.

 

An account of this scale brings with it rare opportunities for innovation and creativity within the global advertising landscape, and holds us to international standards of service delivery. Because of this, worldwide collaboration across our creative, technical, UX and data disciplines is key in executing every project.

The Work

What We Do

 

We run campaign-based and daily operations for international markets on the three .com platforms for Xbox, Windows, and Surface. This includes technical, creative, UX and data analyses, and requires regular participation with Microsoft’s global brand and product teams based in Redmond, Washington.

 

The international markets we support include the United States, Great Britain, Canada, Mexico, and Germany. Through a weekly publishing process, we also invite 43 Xbox markets to submit deals-focused content to our Sales & Specials page.

The Results

What We’ve Done so Far

Since July 2017, we have supported 22 local campaigns for Xbox, four local Surface campaigns, and three for Windows. We also prevented two off-domain Surface sites and shut down three off-domain sites for Windows. So far, we’ve supported 25 international markets with over 700 000 total web visits.

 

We’re also managing and migrating the entire current Xbox China website to Xbox.com.
