McDonald’s Top Jock Blog – Looking Tasty!
In late 2012 McDonald’s South Africa approached us with a challenge: Keep interest relating to the McDonald’s Top Jock competition alive in the gap between its 2012 and 2013 iterations, on a budget.
Our solution was to create a McDonald’s Top Jock blog, focusing on what past winners had been up to since walking away with the number one spot while integrating content such as remixes and image galleries into the overall offering.
We’re really proud of how this project has turned out and thought, as our first blog post for 2013, it was well worth sharing!
In month since we kicked the project off, the blog has enjoyed hundreds of unique hits – bolstering McDonald’s South Africa’s SEO profile for the competition and providing valuable, unique content which has been shared via Twitter and Facebook.
In our opinion, this is a good example of one way to maintain interest in a recurring promotion by shining a spotlight the history associated with it.
