Philips is a global technology company that focuses on the areas of lighting, healthcare, and consumer lifestyle. It is one of the largest consumer and healthcare product companies in the world and recognised for its sustainability efforts.
Philips launched a rebranding campaign centred on the phrase “Innovation and you” seeking to reactivate its then-dormant social media. The company engaged Clockwork Media, under the umbrella of the OneVoice consortium, to create and design content for its @Philips Twitter account.
Clockwork Media created a Twitter strategy to showcase Philips’ innovation and sustainability efforts through creative content and custom-designed imagery, as well as to engage Philips in tech conversations, and share in industry stories. As part of their responsive newsroom, we created agile and responsive content around real-time events – such as South by Southwest and the World Cup – for use across Philips’ other social media platforms.
Since the reactivation in late 2013, @Philips has grown from an idle platform to an interactive channel with over 200 000 followers. The account has successfully pushed Philips’ “Innovation and you” branding as well as established itself as a platform for engagement with thought leaders.
