About us:

Born in South Africa and with quickly unfolding global ambitions, Clockwork is an award-winning communications agency, with offices in London, Cape Town and Johannesburg. 140 people strong, we are an independent agency that competes at the highest levels and works with some of the world’s largest, leading brands. With a pronounced strength in content, social, strategy and public relations, we’re not “a digital agency”, but we believe that today, everything is digital.

Our UK office opened its doors in Jan 2021 and is growing at a fast pace following a number of exciting client wins. Punching above our weight, Clockwork UK is notably the global social and production agency of record for Microsoft Xbox, and the content and influencer agency for Peroni (UK). With a handful of other clients and more joining the list every month, the London office is growing quickly.

While our UK presence is expanding, we believe strongly in South Africa’s creative talent. This is why we are launching CW//UK Studios: a multidisciplinary hub of excellence, built and designed to create world-class, industry-leading creative collateral, based in South Africa, and servicing clients out of the UK office. Our ambition is to build a team of brilliant people that have an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to do great work in collaboration with our clients.

This team will be based in South Africa and employed by Clockwork SA, but it will work exclusively on global accounts in collaboration with our UK office.

About the role:

You will work directly with our team in the London office, and be the day-to-day video editor, working on a variety of brands.

You will be the lead video editor on projects across a range of categories including fashion, alcohol, gaming and tech, delivering work across a range of disciplines including social, content, influencer, B2B and brand design

You will lead the video and short-form capability that we sell to our clients in the UK. Everything from dynamic shortform content, localised video editing of global assets, to making dull corporate videos dynamic and appealing.

Where appropriate, you will lead bespoke static and shortform video shoots for clients on location.

Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of our video output, effectively servicing clients and pushing the work to ensure it surpasses client expectations.

You will work closely with creative and design leads to ensure concept through to execution is delivered with flawless results – on time and on budget.

You will need to be good at, and ideally enjoy:

  • Taking briefs from a variety of different business types
  • Working on a variety of different types and styles of video content
  • Adapting to shifting and evolving project requirements
  • Collaborating with a team to create creatively brilliant, beautifully executed video content
  • Managing relationships with a diverse list of critical stakeholders, from clients to freelancers and colleagues
  • Working with people and building solid relationships with your colleagues and clients
